Gilgamesh is saved mainly by a combination of experience and superhuman reflexes as he dives forward in a roll on instinct. He comes up facing the direction of the attack and with two swords in his hands, Enki appearing from out of nowhere.

"If a Noble Phantasm didn't cut through it, we'll be here all day," he says irritably, making testing slashes in the direction of his original assailant. "Kid, you look for a power source or magic crystal or whatever while we fight this guy...these guys...whatever."
