Lancer's and Gilgamesh's attacks kill the hounds rather quickly. Terry's puts the third in a world of hurt, and Cross's knives indeed take out its legs.

With the hounds down, some shouts can be heard from within the woods:

"Send backup! Repeat, send backup!"
"Give it up, you idiot! We're just out of range!"
"No, it can't be! They should be getting this!"
"Dammit, give it up and let's get out of here!"
