[The PDA's feed opens to a very large blue eye. Said eye pulls back to show the huge round glasses frames around it, and the girl attached to the glasses. She smiles brightly and pushes those glasses up before speaking.]

Oh hey, there it goes... I mean, hi there! My name's Lucca. Lucca Ashtear. Wow, this place is amazing! I never thought I'd EVER find a mash-up of technology like this... A-anyway, I'm now rooming in the Deeps District, and before I get down to business I'd like to get to know everyone... also, does anyone know of a workshop or machine shop or some place that I can get to know what we'll be working with?

Oh, a lot of things! A teleporter, a robotic combat training dummy, a whole slew of energy weapons and different kindza armor, a temporal gate stabilizing device--uh, normally I just call that one a "Gate Key," it's easier that way--various concussive and incendiary explosives, a hypno-field generator, an enemy scanning array...

...Uh. Wow. That's...a lot of stuff. Some things that my world doesn't have, too.

--That's just part of it! I hadn't even gotten to the automatic cheese-maker, the rocket-powered vacuum cleaner! O-or my work on humanoid robotics! That's actually become a specialty of mine!

Wait, humanoid robotics? Really? Like, mobile suits?

Mobile suits? What're those?

[Oh yeah. She needs to see the hangar. In the worst possible way.]

Humanoid robots, about 20 meters tall. People pilot them.

THAT tall?! Oh wow. The power relay and structural load-bearing systems must be incredible! Not to mention the additional armaments that the larger size allows and the integrated systems... I gotta see this!

Are you one of those pilots?

Um...yeah. Yeah, I am. I pilot the Gundam AGE-2. It's the white one with the shoulder binders.

Oh cool! So you know all about them! I haven't actually seen any of the mobile suits yet... you have to show me around!

Um, kind of. My dad's the real mobile suit expert. He built my unit's predecessor. I'm not a genius like him, though.

Vice Admiral Flit Asuno of the Earth Federal Forces.

...He isn't here yet, though.

We can just move in on a vacant shop? That's GREAT!

No, the docks. The Docks District. It's where all the big shipyards and military supplies are.

I guess I'm still a little lost around here. Don't worry, I'll find it eventually!

Seems like it. Gotta say this is a bit of a gloomy neighborhood, but I've been in worse. What about you?

I suppose it is a little rough around the edges, but actually... Yeah. I've seen worse. A LOT worse. Plus all the geothermal piping is kind of cool-looking in its own way!

[Apparently she's into the cramped, grimy, post-apocalyptic sort of look.]

Besides, it can always be improved, right?

Sounds like you may need to. Guess they got some sorta tech gap between us and the enemy.

Huh? What d'ya mean, a tech gap?

Like, the Thor guy said the reason they had to hit up other worlds is that they didn't have the tech or the time to train all those refugees they got living out there to fight back, so they needed a bunch of people who knew what they were doing. Or something. Said I should read up about it if I wanted to know more.

I have yet to see a workshop... But the district I am in, the Foundry, may perhaps prove to have similar resources.

I have yet to see a workshop but the Grand Library has a lot of information about this world.

It's as big as any of the other important buildings in each district. I have yet to go there my self but my friend lives in that area and she hasn't had any problems so far.
