I suppose it's time for less complaining, and more getting other people to do stuff. So, it looks like getting a team for intelligence gathering and such's been left up to me by Thor, since I was the first to talk to him about it. I'm looking for other people good at that kind of thing. Or getting in and doing things without the enemies noticing. I suppose some might call that kind of thing "dirty work", though taking care of problem quietly's a normal thing to do with enemies. Anyway, if you're good at that sort of thing, I'm looking for you. Also, if you know anyone like that, I'd like to talk to them.

If you were there for that attack, you might've noticed some battleships crashing and enemies attacking each other for no reason. I was messing with their perceptions. And I've some experience with helping find people information and targets. I did that sort of thing a lot in that thing that my world's now calling the Dream Savior War. Those magical girls would've had a lot more trouble even finding the enemy without me. I don't really care about bragging, but I was saying all that so you know my qualifications.

The rest of you should look into organizing yourselves as well. Even just having a good idea of who's good at what sorts of thing'll help.

That's an odd mechanism. Using your power creates impurities in your Soul Gem, which you can only remove with Grief Seeds. The names have powerful symbolic resonance, at the very least.

Are those seeds created from grief? Or seeds that grow into grief?

[ She hesitates a moment longer. But with so much interest being shown, surely she won't be treated as a liar when she explains. ]

Soul Gems become Grief Seeds if they are not properly purified. They reflect a magical girl's wish becoming consumed by grief. They grow into 'witches'.

[She's silent for a brief moment as she digests the ramifications. Then she speaks briefly. Her tone was of someone who definitely believed it.]

That's messed up. A moronic system.

It truly is, isn't? A sad, moronic system.

I'll have to see if I can make something better. Fear's my usual element, but I can work with other emotions too. There's plenty of grief around with all the refugees here, so plenty of material to work with.

I was fooled into becoming part of this cycle. I became a part of this cycle for my own selfish desires.

I am no better than the one who 'tricked me'.

That is a nice way to think, but it is incorrect. I have accepted my responsibility as another part of this system. That is all there is to it.

I've seen countless dirty tricks used to recruit the innocent and gullible into things. If you didn't know what you were going into, blaming yourself's moronic.

... We knew that we were risking our lives in exchange for our wishes. Yet, we still accepted this fate.

I do not wish to say that thing is forgivable, but we who contracted are not without blame either.

It's one thing to accept risking your life, and another to get tricked into a screwed up system like that. The magical girls in my world accepted a similar deal to risk their lives protecting others and get compensations, but they didn't get stuck with a moronic system like that.
