A few days have passed since the Qin army marched on Midgard's walls. The warriors already there don't know how much longer the front gate can last. The Qin forces are slowly picking off the wall's defenders, whittling down their numbers.

A metallic dragon twists and writhes in the sky, raining destruction from above. Sanzuwu streak back and forth across the sky, strafing and intercepting any aerial units. Shishi slam into the gates repeatedly, while terracotta soldiers make use of siege engines to break down the gate.

And finally, the inevitable occurs; the gate crashes open. Qin soldiers start flooding in.

But at that very moment...the Bifrost activates.

The first wave has come.

[[OoC: Welcome to the game! You'll be starting off fending off a Qin invasion. You are free to godmode enemies within reason, though the mods may occasionally take over from time to time. Defeat enough enemies, and a boss may appear...

Enemy types can be found with descriptions in the cut below.

Dragons - Strange, otherworldly energy beings that serve the Qin. They are given physical, robotic bodies in the form of classic Chinese dragons so that they can interact with physical world. Enormously powerful. Ascend to their home plane if their bodies are destroyed. There are only nine Dragons at any one time, but if ever one is defeated, its body can be rebuilt.

Fenghuang - Flying Qin battleships. Huge. Phoenix themed decoration. Lots of heavy weapons.

Sanzuwu - Qin fightercraft. Fast, lightly armed. Three distinctive landing gear that look like bird legs.

Yaoguai - Soldiers subject to modification experiments that didn't work properly. The Yaoguai are capable in combat, but their upgrades have left them mentally unstable and very violent.

Shishi - Robot lion statues. Powerful frontline warriors.

Terracotta Soldiers - Clay statues of soldiers that have been animated. The rank and file.

Good, that's what Asem had been hoping for. He hails the mech down on the ground.

"Let's keep this up! I'll draw their fire, and you hit them from below!"

"Sounds like a plan!"

And while the white machine continues to get more trailing Sanzuwus, the crimson machine is going to wait a while longer until a lot of them are trailing it.

Then, it's time for this.

"CERTAIN KILL! SPECIAL BOOMERANG THROOOOOOW!"

Which is just basically the mecha detaching its face sun-glasses, and hurling it in such an arc that it cleaved through all of them.

Man, this guy sure yelled a lot...though Asem couldn't really talk. "Great, keep it up!"

The G-Strider swung around and dove lower, hoping to draw the fighters down closer to the ground.

And down they go, as they all got into the mech's range of melee attacks, which involves spinning around like a top and just, cutting through everything that so much as touch it.

"SECRET TECHNIQUE: SPINNING TOP OF DOOM!"

Did that really need a name? Asem can't help but wonder as he flies up and loops around. He tries to lure more down, and they do seem to take the bait. However, this time they break formation and spread out before they enter Kamina's attack radius.

It's Kamina. Every attack always has to have a ridiculous name that goes with it. But hey, it's not everyone's cup of tea, unfortunately though? He ain't stopping anytime soon.

Well, looks like this is getting tougher, but no matter! There's enough Shishi on the ground that he can use as ammunition. Which is why Asem might want to dodge some flying Shishi that's targeting all those Sanzuwus.

The G-Strider pulled a sharp turn. As the Sanzuwu evaded (mostly; some got hit), Asem was able to figure out where they'd dodge. So the fighters found themselves dodging straight into Hyper DODS Rifle shots.

"Hey, white Ganmen! We make a pretty good team if I say so myself!"

Gurren apparently is capable of having it's well. Mouth opening and closing as if it's really speaking.

[second_destiny]

"Ganmen?" That was a word that Asem wasn't familiar with. At any rate, the skies seemed clear for now, so he converted the AGE-2 to mobile suit mode and landed on the ground.

"This is a Gundam."

"Ganmen, Gundam, whatever, it's almost the same so who cares?"

The Gurren's going to just shrug. And yes, the face is pretty much emoting right now.

At this point, Asem's looking a bit exasperated.

"We're not done yet, anyway. Look around."

The fighters were gone, but there were still standard soldiers and Shishi running around.

"It's overkill, but let's clean up these guys. We can at least take some heat off the others!"

"Overkill's my middle name, kid! So let's get going!"

And he's going to just. Stomp on them without a care in the world.
