Opening Log
A few days have passed since the Qin army marched on Midgard's walls. The warriors already there don't know how much longer the front gate can last. The Qin forces are slowly picking off the wall's defenders, whittling down their numbers.
A metallic dragon twists and writhes in the sky, raining destruction from above. Sanzuwu streak back and forth across the sky, strafing and intercepting any aerial units. Shishi slam into the gates repeatedly, while terracotta soldiers make use of siege engines to break down the gate.
And finally, the inevitable occurs; the gate crashes open. Qin soldiers start flooding in.
But at that very moment...the Bifrost activates.
The first wave has come.
[[OoC: Welcome to the game! You'll be starting off fending off a Qin invasion. You are free to godmode enemies within reason, though the mods may occasionally take over from time to time. Defeat enough enemies, and a boss may appear...
Enemy types can be found with descriptions in the cut below.
Dragons - Strange, otherworldly energy beings that serve the Qin. They are given physical, robotic bodies in the form of classic Chinese dragons so that they can interact with physical world. Enormously powerful. Ascend to their home plane if their bodies are destroyed. There are only nine Dragons at any one time, but if ever one is defeated, its body can be rebuilt.
Fenghuang - Flying Qin battleships. Huge. Phoenix themed decoration. Lots of heavy weapons.
Sanzuwu - Qin fightercraft. Fast, lightly armed. Three distinctive landing gear that look like bird legs.
Yaoguai - Soldiers subject to modification experiments that didn't work properly. The Yaoguai are capable in combat, but their upgrades have left them mentally unstable and very violent.
Shishi - Robot lion statues. Powerful frontline warriors.
Terracotta Soldiers - Clay statues of soldiers that have been animated. The rank and file.
And finally, Thor has something to say to you.]

And Cross is hit with Shishi. Fun.
"Oh great! Really?! I get the giant lions first?!"
Cross is for all intensive purposes ready. Pulling out an EMP he glares at the thing. He'll need to get on it and plant it. The EMP is only big enough to take out one and only if he can attach it to it.

"W-whoa! How are you doing that?!"

Hurling bombs towards some oncoming Shishi they explode blowing one of them apart while knocking another one away.

What would have been a fatal blow for a living thing simply ticked off the robot, which started bucking like a rodeo bull trying to get the pest off its back.

Well he looks like he could use some help! Sprinting forward Cross leaps off of some of the debris that had fallen and jumps onto the back of the creature with the man.
Turning the cuff on his metallic right arm claws seem to spring out of it. Lodging them into the creature it doesn't do much other than keep Cross in place. Planting an EMP bomb on the shishi it lets out sparks before it surges through the creature. It should drop any second now.

Each Shishi was different. These ones were a bit better insulated, and so were not taking as much damage from the EMP bombs as the others. However this one did lose control of its front legs and fall over in a pile. Shinsuke was flung from his perch, but his sword popped out too, and instead of landing on his head, he landed on a nice cushion of air.

Cross however was thrown off as well as the claws seem to just snap off...great he's going to need to fix that. Thank God for his acrobatics. Flipping backwards in the air he lands on his feet beside the samurai.
"Hey are you okay?"
Cross offers a hand to him.

He hops back up before the Shishi can crush him under by rolling over or something.

Annoyed Cross is annoyed. But he's just going to back flip out of the way of another oncoming Shishi.
