Opening Log
A few days have passed since the Qin army marched on Midgard's walls. The warriors already there don't know how much longer the front gate can last. The Qin forces are slowly picking off the wall's defenders, whittling down their numbers.
A metallic dragon twists and writhes in the sky, raining destruction from above. Sanzuwu streak back and forth across the sky, strafing and intercepting any aerial units. Shishi slam into the gates repeatedly, while terracotta soldiers make use of siege engines to break down the gate.
And finally, the inevitable occurs; the gate crashes open. Qin soldiers start flooding in.
But at that very moment...the Bifrost activates.
The first wave has come.
[[OoC: Welcome to the game! You'll be starting off fending off a Qin invasion. You are free to godmode enemies within reason, though the mods may occasionally take over from time to time. Defeat enough enemies, and a boss may appear...
Enemy types can be found with descriptions in the cut below.
Dragons - Strange, otherworldly energy beings that serve the Qin. They are given physical, robotic bodies in the form of classic Chinese dragons so that they can interact with physical world. Enormously powerful. Ascend to their home plane if their bodies are destroyed. There are only nine Dragons at any one time, but if ever one is defeated, its body can be rebuilt.
Fenghuang - Flying Qin battleships. Huge. Phoenix themed decoration. Lots of heavy weapons.
Sanzuwu - Qin fightercraft. Fast, lightly armed. Three distinctive landing gear that look like bird legs.
Yaoguai - Soldiers subject to modification experiments that didn't work properly. The Yaoguai are capable in combat, but their upgrades have left them mentally unstable and very violent.
Shishi - Robot lion statues. Powerful frontline warriors.
Terracotta Soldiers - Clay statues of soldiers that have been animated. The rank and file.
And finally, Thor has something to say to you.]

"Oomph!"
Well, crashing down on his seat doesn't seem too bad when he felt that familiar skin on his definitely naked torso (he's still wearing pants though).
"Hey babe, never knew angels could fall from the sky."
There's a tired, grateful laugh coming from him since if she's there, and he's not really near death as he was earlier, then everything's alright back home, right?

Maybe if she had bothered to use her ears to listen, she might have recognized the boisterous voice that had been screaming out just a few moments ago. Maybe if she had bothered to see beyond her eyes, she would have recognized just why it was all familiar to her. The sharp pain in her chest may have been her heart stopping as it all comes crashing down on her.
"Angels..?" Refusing to be bested in conversation, she'll turn her nose up in the air just to flare her nostrils. "You go off to die and now you're suddenly an expert on angels?"

"Sorry about that, but this time..."
He said as he moved the yokes again, causing the Gurren to slash down several enemies in one go!
"I'm definitely paying you back twenty times to make up for that!"

And then due to the power of kissing Yoko, the Shishi overwhelm the two and kill them.

FIGHT THE POWER

Whatever cynicism she held towards love seems to melt away from the heat of his body, Yoko unable to resist lingering close. It's not every day the dead return to life.
As for the battle... well, Kamina can handle it today. Her gun's stashed near the two, possibly broken from the fall, but she still feels safe having it nearby.

"HERE WE GO! SHADE SLASH!"
Cue more Shishi beatdown actions!
no subject
Because really, he's always needed someone to watch his back and there's no one better for the job than her.
"Hey." Her voice is quiet, barely audible due to the action around them. "You might want to pop that one that's following us."
no subject
"They're definitely not going to try that again now!"

And there he goes with more destruction of the Terracotta soldiers, Sanzuwu and well, pretty much everything else.

"You missed one."
A distant tone, but still in the battle by keeping her eyes peeled.

And there we go-! They should be safe for now.

"Looks like things are settling down now. Guess I'll be on my way then, right?"
It's cool. Kiss and leave. She doesn't really want to stick around for the third death in her life.
no subject
No can do, Kamina's going to grab her by the waist and pulls her in close into a hug.
"First you dropped from the sky and shot through my damn cockpit, and now you're leaving again?"
The tone pretty much shows that Kamina is very confused, with concerns lying over it. Well. Besides the ridiculous look, that is.

Her voice might give away her fright of losing him again as years of repressed pain boil back to the surface. She can't go through it again, that's all there is to it, as her fingers flex in tension. Even though he's holding her, she can't help the thought that this was impossible.
Kamina couldn't hold her like this again! It's impossible and yet, she's witnessed so many other miracles in her life. So why couldn't she sit here and actually enjoy one?

He was about to continue it with "I'm a man of my words!" but realized that the last thing he remembered was being stabbed by that fuckass giant spear, which wouldn't really bode well for him...
