Opening Log
A few days have passed since the Qin army marched on Midgard's walls. The warriors already there don't know how much longer the front gate can last. The Qin forces are slowly picking off the wall's defenders, whittling down their numbers.
A metallic dragon twists and writhes in the sky, raining destruction from above. Sanzuwu streak back and forth across the sky, strafing and intercepting any aerial units. Shishi slam into the gates repeatedly, while terracotta soldiers make use of siege engines to break down the gate.
And finally, the inevitable occurs; the gate crashes open. Qin soldiers start flooding in.
But at that very moment...the Bifrost activates.
The first wave has come.
[[OoC: Welcome to the game! You'll be starting off fending off a Qin invasion. You are free to godmode enemies within reason, though the mods may occasionally take over from time to time. Defeat enough enemies, and a boss may appear...
Enemy types can be found with descriptions in the cut below.
Dragons - Strange, otherworldly energy beings that serve the Qin. They are given physical, robotic bodies in the form of classic Chinese dragons so that they can interact with physical world. Enormously powerful. Ascend to their home plane if their bodies are destroyed. There are only nine Dragons at any one time, but if ever one is defeated, its body can be rebuilt.
Fenghuang - Flying Qin battleships. Huge. Phoenix themed decoration. Lots of heavy weapons.
Sanzuwu - Qin fightercraft. Fast, lightly armed. Three distinctive landing gear that look like bird legs.
Yaoguai - Soldiers subject to modification experiments that didn't work properly. The Yaoguai are capable in combat, but their upgrades have left them mentally unstable and very violent.
Shishi - Robot lion statues. Powerful frontline warriors.
Terracotta Soldiers - Clay statues of soldiers that have been animated. The rank and file.
And finally, Thor has something to say to you.]

Cross is obviously really panicked here. Not that he'd know how to fly the giant death machine either but you know might as well give it a shot. He might be able to do better than the guy currently driving.
no subject
Lancer too is panicking. He wonders if he should just punch the boy across the room.
no subject
"SORRY ABOUT THIS!"
Cross is going to try and kick you in the head to knock you off. It's for the greater good after all.
no subject
no subject
"Ow, ow, ow! You jerk! Pull those controls up! UP!"
Might as well do back seat driving now.
no subject
"What now?"
no subject
Cross gets up again and now just forcefully throws Lancer aside.
Grabbing a hold of the controls he tries to veer them away from the city.
"Hey man can you fly or something!?"
This has everything to do with what Cross is planning on doing.
no subject
Though given enough time, he can probably use runes to slow his descent, at least.
"Just land this metal piece of shit!"
no subject
As Cross is veering it around he looks back to Lancer.
"We may have to have to jump out! Unless you got some bright ideas!"

Cross is now attempting to steer said flying machine towards a roof now. He's not doing a good job of it though as it begins to shudder and shake, but probably a bit better than what Lancer had been doing. He's never drove one of these things before okay!
The ship is approaching an empty roof coming down much faster now.
"Hold on tight!"
no subject
"Hey, you asked me if I could fly. So I wanna ask you now. Can you fly?"
no subject
Touch down in 3, 2, 1. Surprisingly Cross manages to get the stupid hunk of metal settled down on the roof. But it's not a good landing either.
"Blegh...you okay?"
no subject
Even though he looks a little green all the turning.
"So what now?"
no subject
"Well what else is there? Try and get take out some more of these or go for the bigger guys."
Cross is now pointing to one of the Fenghuang above.
no subject
Lancer looks at the controls and then at Cross.
"You drive. I'll figure out how to get its guns working."
Because that was definitely easier than steering.
no subject
Tapping the button on the side of the visor he's wearing Cross climbs back into it.
"Okay...okay I think I got. My visor should tell me when to correct mistakes and stuff."
He then looks back to Lancer.
"I'm Cross by the way."
And even in all this chaos and hell the boy manages to grin.
no subject
"Lancer. Now let's go shoot some aliens."
no subject
Can you tell he's not comfortable with killing yet?
Hitting several buttons on the console, Cross takes a hold of the controls and pulls up before flying towards one of the warships.
"Get ready Lance! (yes he's calling you this) I don't think they like us!"
Several small ships are shooting at them now, Cross is just trying to weave their stolen ship out away from the shots.
no subject
no subject
But yes one ship gone. Cross is now going to do a BARREL ROLL in the air to avoid more gunfire as the edge towards the ship. But with all the fancy dodging to try and avoid getting shot it may take a couple of minutes.
no subject
"Dammit. Can't this thing be less shakey?"
no subject
Straightening out, Cross slams forward to make the ship go faster towards the warship.
"Take your shot!"

no subject
They're going to die aren't they?"THE BIG RED ONE! IT'S ALWAYS THE BIG RED ONE!"
He hopes
